Thickness of lifting points

Can someone measure their lifting point between the head and water outlet? Mine never made it back from the machine shop and the seal only works with the plate. I need to make a spacer, unless there's another seal I don't know about?

I may have a lifting bracket you can have but I will check to measure mine on my truck in the mean time.

Pretty sure it was 1/8". I can't find my solidworks drawing of it or I could confirm.

That has the shape of a 24v thermostat housing.

Did you measure one yourself? My guess would have been 3/16 also. I made some lifting points from 1/4" and they bent some while installing my engine.

Just went and measured mine it is 3/16

That has the shape of a 24v thermostat housing.

That's a thermostat housing I had made for my 12v head. I thought the lift plate thickness was integrated but I guessed wrong apparently.

It's a wonder those 3 - 8mm bolts can take that kind of load!
