No seriously.
I just renewed the plates so I'm at the 1 year anniversary.
3 Engines
2 Transmissions.

The most recent is the 2nd trans.
Goerend VB, trans was completely rebuilt just over 4 months ago.
Precision triple disk converter.

My trans guy thinks the converter caused it.

Unloaded with the cruise at at 80. BAM!

I'll be removing all my company stickers and selling it when the trans is back in there. I'm done. Blue Oval here I come.

just watched at Ponci's this weekend a ford excursion 6.0 win the grudge match running 13.1 all day long...
 
I've always loved Cummins.
I've liked Dodge and have LOVED the Mega Cab.

I cannot however in good conscious continue this battle.
I'm right in the middle of trying to buy a second hose so we are saving money for the down and this phukin truck has all but killed that dream over the last 12 months.

I'm done!

It now has traction bars on it, 20x12 MB Motoring wheels and 37/14.50r20 Toyo AT's on it.

I sold my Dodge and kept my Ford. The only time I miss the dodge is when I fill the tank(Dodge got 2-3 mpg better mileage), and when I take off from a stop, and when I accelerate from a light or stop sign, and when I enter the freeway, and when I come to a hill, and especially when I need to pass. Sitting at a light with the A/C on I don't miss the Dodge(no a/c).

Pretty much how I feel right now. Mine is sitting in the corner of the shop with a broke trans(again). Owning the thing thing is hardly worth it anymore. Its like spend $$$ break **** spend more $$$, repeat.
 
Play hard pay hard! It's either bad luck a bad right foot or something not put together right....... Some have no issues pushing 800hp through the trans and some blow up at 500 so must be driver input! When I'm pulling a big hill with 20k behind me and the turbo is singing and the temps are pushing 1400 I keep waiting for something to grenade but I get over the top and keep going! I just got to say wow this truck is awesome!

The first engine had bad injectors when I bought it, took me some time driving and diagnosing to figure that out then the week we were going to swap them out it ate a piston.

Installed a "Low mile 35k) 6.7, 2 months later a intake valve refused to go back in its hole so the piston beat the hell out if it.
Pulled it and COMPLETELY rebuilt it, cam pistons, balanced rotating assy, etc. That's the engine that's in it currently.

I rebuilt the trans during the first engine swap.

My builder said he thinks the triple converter came apart causing it all to bind fracturing the input shaft and here we are.

Billet shafts going back in.
Also I installed a Goerend valve body at the last engine rebuild so it "SHOULD" be good going forward.

You have def had a case of bad luck, and that sucks. You have a gorgeous truck, be a shame to get rid of it, but I can understand. I have a lot of miles on my truck, so I expect a certain amount of issues. Death wobble wore me out at first pretty bad. Then swapping in reman injectors and having issues was a pain in my ass, but its all good now. 285k and running like a champ.
 
Will not sure if excited or just happy I'm going home early.

Picking up my truck in about 20 min.
Billet everything, Dave's Constant pressure VB, triple converter.

Been what 6 weeks? Ugh.

Hope it Freakin works.
