Htt 62/71/14 over an S475ETT 1.10 t6 housing. Any possible issues with this setup? Would the S475 need a gate? Ive got a drag comp box and DDP 250 injectors and a DDP HRVP44.

At 3500RPM I wouldn't think it would be necessary...but I'd probably recommend it

You gate the turbine side...NEVER put a pressure relief on the intake side, it just makes the compressors work harder, and make hot air.

I like to drive primaries a little harder than some, let it run around 40psi maybe up to 45psi...that's where it's in the biggest part of it's map, and where it would probably run on the engine it was designed for;)

I would consider looking at a Borg Warner 171702 with a 1.32 a/r turbine side.

Since this turbo has no gate an external gate would go in the hot pipe then?

Also how well will the 62/71/14 spool as compared to a 62/65/13ss?

The 1.10 T6 is going to light quicker due to the smaller exhaust wheel and smaller housing. I would run the 1.10 T6. RonA ran that same 475 and put down some good numbers with it.

The gate goes between the hotpipe and the primary.

The 65/13 will spool quicker than the 71/14.

Do you run 2 boost gauges? one for the primary and one for the secondary.

What's the size difference of the wheel between the two chargers?

Not on an S475...the S471 has the 83/74 wheel

I guess I should have specified that before!

Chris

S475 and s471 share the same turbine wheel if you have the small cartridge.

83x74.

Of course the s471 is available with the t6 1.32 96x88 turbine housing also.

I have both the 2.8 and the 3.0 and swap them back and forth.

Maybe better to refer to borg part numbers.

You could be referring to some odd combo, but all of the sx series use the same 83x74 turbine wheel.

177101 --- S475 --- 83/77 1.10A/R
177248 --- S471 --- 83/74 1.10A/R

Turbine wheels as I listed above according to the Airwerks Catalog

Those are the numbers I was referring to.
Better double check, my literature says different, and I have ran both.
Same turbine wheel.
