Thoughts?

I have been wrestling with oil leaks on my truck for a while now. It still leaks wayyyy more than is acceptable. Here is a list of gaskets I have replaced. Pushrod cover gasket, front timing case/cover, front crank seal, rear main seal, and all seals for the p pump to mate up. Everything except the pushrod gasket was replaced within the last four months. pushrod gasket is less than a year. This leak seems to be way more than what an oil pan gasket would put out (even though it probably does need to be changed at 260k). So I'm to the point where I almost think on the very minute chance that I might have popped my headgasket at only and oil passage. other than that I'm out of ideas. Thoughts?

Blow by tube? Where is it leaking from and how much is it leaking? Valve cover gasket and vaccum pump might need replacing/rebuilding.

If the passenger side is clean then I would revisit the lifter cover on the side. I had to do mine twice. The second time I wanna say I used silicone to help mate the gasket to the cover.. Not really sure but I remember using silicone.

What about your valve cover gasket? I also had one of the rubber bushings that goes on the valve cover bolt leak on me..

I haven't tried replacing the valve cover gasket. I don't believe it is the vacuum pump. I've checked and that stays dry. it just seems like this leak is running down the block.

Also blow by tube has been relocated to go over the back of the engine. So that is definately not it.

Ppump oil return is directly in front of the factory 24v breather and at wot has been known to puke quite a bit of oil out.

Right. But my breather is now a hose that goes over the intake all the way back the intake plenum and down the back of the engine. Checked the hose and it's completely dry.

Your positive its not your lifter cover?

Run your finger right below the valve cover gasket at the back of the head to check the valve cover. (that gasket is expensive!)

My headgasket was puking a ton of oil when it went... Only way I caught it was the oil drops on the ground when I was filling up:

I'm going to have to take a very detailed look at the head gasket. I'll have to check the valve cover gasket too. But I'm positive it's not lifter cover because when I put it back on after the p pump swap I made very sure it was clean and also when it went out, it left a consistant puddle, where this is spreading over the engine and then hitting the ground.

Thats exactly how my HG was leaking also.... if its not that then I would clean the motor as well as I could and check for fresh oil

you know now that I think about it, the front of my head looks a lot like that. did yall have any other clues that it was your headgasket? i.e overheating or anything? because mine doesn't.

I had antifreeze seeping out the passanger side front of my engine under the t-stat houseing.

No other clues other than the oil.

I'm a vehicular hypochondriac, so I notice stuff like that and it drives me bat**** crazy until I fix it.

This is what the gasket looked like:

There was no coolant getting into the oil and no oil getting into the coolant. Just the leak.

I had a customers oil pan crack right at the bend for the flange on the drivers side center. Also two breathers like a drag car would use in the valve cover seems to help if your running high boost the 24v factory breather does seem to cut it just help take some pressure off the seals. I use the kind that you can put a hose on.
