Throttle linkage?

My gas pedal is very stiff to press all the time and will hang at 2k rpms. It's a manual so I just clutch and pump the gas one time and that usually drops it back down. I'm wondering if that could be a throttle linkage problem? Or if I just need a new throttle linkage and where a man could get one at thanks.

Check the ball joints on the throttle rod. Mine hangs when dirt and grime gets n the joint. I sprau it down with deep creep and its all good. Or check your return springs

Thought I was having pump issues. Ended up throttle cable fraying at the engine end of the cable, where it goes into the housing.

throttle cable x 3

frayed on my 95, did it as soon as I got it new to me...

I can reach in and move the bar that has the two knuckle joints on either end freely, meaning that it isn't those two knuckles that have been gummed up, so would that signify that it is the cable, as several of you mentioned, being frayed somewhere or is it the rack? Thanks

Mine moves freely if the rod is pushed down. If the rod is straight or angled up it sticks.
