Throttle Linkage

I'm putting a dual feed 13mm pump on my 2.6/2.8 truck. I got rid of all the stock linkage from the gov housing to the front of the pump. My problem is how are you guys/gals making the throttle cable work? I still would like to use the factory cable but when I hook it up its in a bind. Hooked the stock cable to a custom bracket and ball stud I made off the gov housing. But it coils up so bad it "binds" or not freely moving. Greatful for any ideas.

Use the larger port in the front face of the pump housing as the second port and go back with the stock linkage if you have all the parts...
