I got a 94 2wd auto, sometimes when i really get on it whether its to get on the freeway or pass someone the throttle sticks and i gotta put my foot under it and pull it up, any ideas? thanks.

Lube the throttle cable and replace the throttle return spring. Yours could be corroded or worn out. Maybe get a stronger spring.

check to see if your truck is up for the throttle linkage recall...

could also be the linkage binding against the pump

or, could be the throttle cable fraying inside the sheath

I thought I had injection pump problems with my 96. The shop could not find any sticking issues in the pump. I checked all of the linkage out, but could not see a problem. As I was installing the pump, I went to hook up the throttle cable and had a piece of the frayed throttle cable poke me. If that had not happened, I would have a sticking throttle when I went to start the truck up.

most likely a frayed throttle cable. i put an extra return spring on my truck to help return it too.

thanks guys, it was a messed up throttle cable, i didnt notice it at first but finally found it. thanks again
