Timing Questions...

Hey guys, I have a 98 12v that I am getting ready to do the timing on. I have stock head bolts, and the stock head gasket, so do yall think I should bump it to 15.5* or 16*? Can't afford to replace a headgasket right now, so I really don't wanna blow it out... Also, do yall have any tips or tricks for making the timing go a little easier? I appreciate the help...:pop:
 
Sorry to jack the thread but what is safe for a motor with o-rings and a marine gasket but no studs?
 
How about ARP studs torqued to 122 lbft, stock gasket, 155K miles, and Hybrid35/HT-60 twins? 191dv's coming Thursday so should be able to get close to 60lbs of boost. Heading to the track this weekend and want to make sure I come home not on a trailer. Lon
 
i run 18 with 269k on the stock head gasket with 58#s of boost. i never get on it till it has warmed up.
