Tow mirror repair

Had my drivers side mirror get hit the other night. Instead of going backwards it got shoved forwards. Now it wont lock in its normal position, nor will it go all the way back agenst the window like it should.
What can i do do get it back in sync?

Was like that when i came out of class the other night. Guess somebody thought it might have been funny, or could have been an accident. ill never know.
I think it just turned the guts on the inside ill take it off sometime and check it out closer.
