I'm looking at buying a 24 valve but most of what i find is auto, i found a bunch of good deals on automatics but am lookin' for a six speed...would it be worth it to do a tranny swap or am i just better off waiting til i find a good deal on one, also does anyone know how much it would cost?

i swapped a nv into my truck, bought a new trans, valair clutch, and all the other parts, for about $2800, the swap took us 2 days. half of one of them was waiting for the driveshaft to get made.

Wait to find the right truck if you are going auto to stick, much easier.
i miself had to wait to find a good one. I looked and looked for 2 years before i found mine. theyr out there just everyone wants an arm and a leg. I had to go with a 12v because thats all i could find under 10k with less than 100k miles. I wanted a 24v originally but now im glad i got the 12v it gets great mpg and plenty of towing power
