Hey CompD,
Truck is a 96 2500 with 47re
Long story short my factory transmission cooler/heat exchanger broke/leaked.
I replaced it with 2 Derale coolers without fans. I mounted them on the A/C condenser up front of everything grille wise. On the highway it stays nice and cool, however in traffic it can heat up pretty quick.
So now I want to add fans, but I'll have to move the coolers since they won't fit behind the grill with the fan. Where is everyone running their aftermarket coolers? I go 4 wheeling with my truck so it will get abused if it's super exposed. I was going to run it under the bed, but would mud/sand/dirt keep it from staying cool? I'm figuring to just run it in the bed and try not to smack it with my dirtbike when I load up. Just wondering if anyone has a better solution than what I'm thinking of.
