Truck wont move! HELP

Driving along and I got on it, next thing I heard a "pop" and now its has nothing. If you try and put it in park it grinds. Have to put it in neutral first then into park after its shut off. Nothing in 2WD, 4HI or 4LO. I'm at a loss.... Any ideas?

Sounds like a broken Input/output shaft .

Drain the t case oil see if its got metal in it or Jack it up and spin the driveshaft see if it makes funny noises. I would guess its a shaft tho.

Just driving along??? Have you done boosted launches lately?

It's definitely the output or something farther back in the driveline if park doesn't hold it.

I would for sure say output shaft but that is crazy that you werent getting on it..

I have seen the range fork in the tcase wear and pop off the slider ring, and allow it to go into neutral. Pulled a whole trans to replace a clutch once for that...
