Ultimate 40 spline dana 80

I like hearing opinions on both sides. Who breaks yokes? Worth the cost to go billet anyway?

I have a couple of buddies running Dana Yokes that I milled for U-bolts, probably 1200 horse 2.6 trucks. No breakage yet as far as I know.

A driveline guy I know, said the ubolts were much better than the billet straps. He chuckled when he saw the billet straps and said they weren't much of an improvement over stock.

Have you read PBB's super duty Dana 60 thread? It's like a bible for super duty Dana 60s.

05 and up ford Dana 60s' outers seem like will allow Rockwell axles/joints to be used. It have room for 2" shaft.

05-up ford Dana 60s outers make the ancient king pins d60s looks like Dana 30, especially if you compare them to F450/550. Massive.

Debated on going that route but decided against it. Didn't like having to machine knuckles to mount arms and balljoints. Knuckles are beef though.

I want to build a set of steer axles from Ford Dana 80 HD F-Superduty axles with 05+ Ford knuckles or aftermarket units...
