VE 6.7 conversion

Well,it has been completed, atleast all that I can do before its installed.I am happy with the way it has went up till now,I am not anticipating any big problems. In the next couple of hours I am going to start it on the floor.I have never done any videos so I will try and figure it out.If it all fails with the start up I guess I will bow my head in shame and you will never hear from me again:nail:

I hope this link works for the video [ame]http://i1305.photobucket.com/albums/s555/jodo1132/100_0655_zps4fc4c99b.mp4[/ame]

Looks good.
You can't run a 5.9 manifold with the vgt can you? And pdi wants gold for a clean t4i one

This should be the link to the longer video. The engine sounds great,I have a project to do for a customer so it will be a week or so before I install this [ame]http://i1305.photobucket.com/albums/s555/jodo1132/100_0653_zps958c3f9e.mp4[/ame]

Absolutely, positively freaking AWESOME!
It definitely has it's own "sound".

Good work, buddy. :D

Mark.

Nice work! It sounds really nice. I've got a VE pumped 24v in my 00 Excursion and I'm still trying to get used to the unique sound of them. :)

Yes they do have a different sound to them, this 6.7 has a low powerful rumble to it.

I had a little time today so I worked a bit on my turbo. The truck this is going into is already set up for a HE351VE turbo,I have a air ram in it so I set this turbo up to use that system.I have been running this motor a bit each day,I may have to advance the timing just a hair more and grind my fuel pin a bit more.I couldnt hit the throttle to hard in this video but it will build 8 psi boost with the little throttle I gave it[ame]http://i1305.photobucket.com/albums/s555/jodo1132/100_0662_zps37d4325f.mp4[/ame]

Hey John it looks and sound real nice!
I talked to you the other day when I called you for some parts so I had to sign up for this forum before I could see the pictures!

Great videos by the way, so what are you going to put this engine anyway?

I'll be watching and Greetings from Idaho!:rockwoot::rockwoot:

Since it is the weekend I decided to get started on the truck,I got the engine pulled without any accidents. If all goes well I will have the 6.7 in it tomorrow.I am going to try the injectors that are in the old engine in the 6.7.I am seeing alot of hazing in the big ones I put in the 6.7,I dont care for that.Larry its going in this truck and I did get your parts shipped out with 2 injector bolts

Got the engine in,should have it all closed in tomorrow.I ended up putting a set ov stock VP44 injectors in set at ve pressure. That took care of all the hazing.I was a bit worried because I wasnt sure if the different spray angle was causing it or not

I really have no idea on what kind of power I will have.I am getting a bit anxious to get the truck fired up and going for a drive.I may do a documented pump build if there is more interest for it.
