At the NHRDA Texas Diesel Nationals, Wade Moody and his Flo-Pro Pro Stock S-10 broke the longest standing record in the NHRDA. Wes Anderson’s record had stood since March 7th 2009. Moody reset both the E.T. record at 7.72 seconds and the MPH record at 181.52. Moody made the trip all the way from Maryland to get his shot at the record. Moody’s first run of the weekend was the 7.72 and from that point on everybody had their eyes on if he could back it up.

In first round of eliminations Moody went a 7.89 at 178.95 mph and that wasn’t quite enough to back up the 7.72, he needed just a little more. In the 2nd round Wade pulled off the quickest pass ever for a NHRDA Pro Stock truck at 7.58 at 181.52. With his 2nd round time he was able to back up the earlier run of 7.72 as the new national record, but now he had his sights set on the backup for the 7.58 and he only had one run left to do it.

Wade wasn’t able to back up the 7.58 in the finals but he still walked away from the NHRDA Texas Diesel Nationals with a brand new E.T. and MPH record to his name and the extra bonus points that come with setting a new record.

“It was great seeing Wade at the event and to have him show up and set a new record on his first pass the internet went crazy. The Pro Stock record had been around for years and now it has been broken and we saw with his 7.58 that he has plenty left in the tank. It will be great to see how low he can get the record to go this season,” said Randy Cole, President of the NHRDA.
