why is it that when the temperature gets above 75 degrees my idle rpm drops a good 150-200 rpm and the motor will barely stay running if i have the a/c turned on. truck idles at about 800 or so rpm at cooler temps. buddys 12 valve does the same thing as mine.

i was hoping that wasnt the answer. i really dont want to have it idleing at 1000 rpm when im driving it around in the mornings. truck is a manual if it makes any difference

What can I say, these trucks have "personality" lol

it's not going to hurt anything, especially w/ a manual... makes it easier to pull away from a dead stop too

thanks guys. ill bump it up a hair today if i have time. im sure my .093 injection lines arent helping the situation either

didnt get a chance to bump the idle up yet but im curious if anyone is running a fuel cooler on their truck? seems that the idle drop starts to happen when the fuel gets some temperature to it. wondering if putting a cooler in the return line would help things out
