Wastegate Cover Gasket?

Does a gasket exist for this plate? I'm chasing a spool problem on my compounds and found this nice leak. there was no gasket on the plate

My exhaust housing came shipped from HTt with red RTV.

Don't think so. I use red RTV

Thats weird, that red rtv is only rated to 650 degrees F, I cut a gasket out of a 24 oz beer can. No more leaks

The cover plates will sometimes warp from the heat. I welded a 1/4" bead around mine and machined it flat. Doesn't leak anymore.

yeah it was one of those stupid genius moments, i was brainstorming how to make a gasket and there sat the busch can staring at me....

I have cut one out of a sheet of thin copper before.

I have those moments .. .. I attribute them to God ..... he beams me good ideas all the time ..... boss thinks I'm some kind of mechanical genius of sorts ..... I just tell him thank God not me ..... just a tool in the Lords tool box
