This wording needs to be changed in the first body of rules, padding is required but SFI 45.1 padding is not required till 9.99ET:
• NHRA and/or IHRA approved roll bar and SFI 45.1 roll cage padding required
While the rule listed below is a good rule to keep slower trucks from entering the class, it will limit the # of entries and realistically an 11.50 truck could be competitive in this class with an excellent driver. Just state that drivers exceeding their safety equipment will be DQ'd with no warning during eliminations. This rule could probably be added to both this 10.90 index class and the Super Street Class if the classes get too many double and triple class drivers from Sportsman, and 11.90 class. But at the start, it will be nice to have a bigger field, more entry fees for NHRDA, more competition for the class participants.
• Vehicle must be certified to run 11.49 seconds and faster
This rule is irrelevant in an index class that could end up with odd ball project vehicles that may not be street legal, I think it should be removed:
• Working taillight required. Flashing ,blinking , or strobe lights prohibited
