Kat called just now, she went 12.8 in her "tuned" LBZ at California Speedway in Fontana.

60' was 1.78 with 32PSI in the tires, DA was 2500'.

Should be on video.

Congrats Kat!! :cheer:

This is a:

2006 GMC CrewCab Shortbed 4x4 SLT (luxury) truck
275/60-17 wheels and tires (Yoko)
Tierod sleeves, Cognito braces for front suspension support
Mike L transmission with CoPilot
4" exhaust
Edelbrock 1792 liftpump
EFILive tuning

3/4 tank, no weight reduction except spare tire. Stock (original) airfilter. DVD, Navigation, backup video, chrome nerf bars.

We believe this to the quickest LBZ Duramax so far, and one of the quickest "tuning only" crewcab diesels.

Thanks Guys here are the video's

The key to happy love life in a racing family is to let your spouse THINK they are faster...

:D

She knows I'm the "hot-shoe" though. :hehe:

That's great!

So from a drivetrain perspective all that's needed to run a 12 in a heavy CC 4x LBZ is stand alone programing from EFI, a lift pump, a built tranny and what little power that's gained from a 4" exhaust?

If that's the case I'm even more impressed.:Cheer:

Yup! And Fontana is not a "fast" dragstrip either. It ran a 12.9 at LACR which is even worse.

You could probably skip the "full built" trans, and just go with:

TransgoJr shift kit ($200)
1056 Suncoast ($1000?)
ATS Copilot ($1200?)

The factory clutches are actually pretty stout, but we did the full treatment since I KNOW how Kat drives!

Rest of the goodies:

4" Exhaust $400
Tierod sleeves $120
Cognito Braces $200
EFILive with tune included $749
Lift Pump $200

Or about $4k + labor for 3 seconds in the quarter. Hell, that's $4.8 MILLION DOLLARS PER HOUR!!!!:bang
