What happens to injector spray pattern?

What kind of effect would there be on the injector spray pattern with a stock style cummins piston in a 12v, when the deck of the block has been decked .009" and the cylinder head has had .016" surfaced off of it. The plan was to use a .020 over head gasket, but that still leaves the injector nozzle .005" closer to the bowl. (Do i just keep this in mind when setting the timing?)Any suggestions or info would be great.Thanks, Jimmy

I wouldn't worry about it... if anything, it'll allow you to be inside the bowl with a little more timing

Keep your pattern in the bowl a little more, its what some guys do on the 04.5+ to keep the pattern in the bowl a little more as well.

if your really worried, use the thickest copper washer on the injector when you install it, but like others have said, you'll be fine with just a .20 over headgasket.
