Im looking to lift my truck a little bit more then it is now. Im thinking 5in should do it but Id like some feedback from people with experience. Id like a 35/36 in tire with a width of 12.5 to 13.50 as a range on a 4.5 backspacing on a 9 in or 4 on a 10 in wheel. Thanks

you should be fine with 2" leveling kit, just put 35x12.5 on a friends 05 and it clears fine with the leveling kit

With that width and back spacing a leveling kit may still need to trim the front fender wells. I had to with 36 13.5's

I already have a leveling kit and I measured and the 4.5 back spacing wont work even on a 34 11.50 so i know i need to come up a few inches Its just how much im not sure.

I have a 3" leveling kit in the front with 20x12 wheels offset 44. With 35x12.5 and I rub bad. So make sure you reasearch before you rip up your fenders. If you have alot of backspace or offset lift it first. Trust me.

Top Gunz Coustoms makes a 3.5 and even 4" spacers, I just put 35's on my 07 and it rubs with a 2" spacer. 3.5 or 4 you'd be good

Unless 3rd gens are different, a 2" leveling kit with 315/70/16 on 16x10" wheels with 4.5" backspacing won't work. I ran that combo for a week before putting on my 4.5" lift and I could only turn the wheel halfway before the tires started digging into the fenders hard enough to cut the tires.
