Wheel spacers on front or rear?

i'd like to try a set of wheel spacers and see if it helps out at all. where should the wheel spacers go front or rear? i read posts about the spacers being hard on front end parts so i thought maybe in the rear. I plan to run the spacers and my procomp rims which have offset buy im not sure what it is and maybe try stock rims at the other end. i thought this should maybe get a little better traction or am I all wet on this.

I read the rules where i pull and it says nothing about them. Just trying to get some cheap traction i guess. Don't really have the money to go to duals yet.

It usually says something about unaltered track width, or the rear tires must track in x amount of the front tires footprint.
