When do i need an external gate?

Building a 12 valve, wondering how much is too much nitrous and when i need to worry about overspeeding a turbo? Just keep the drive pressure in mind or are there other things i need to be worried about too? Timing?

Not the best guy to answer but will try...... With all variables aside too much nitrous for a diesel will eventually make it fall over and loose power. With that being said more fuel will also make room for more nitrous at that fall over point. Let me ask this. How many kits are you going to use?

Typically timing is backed out some on a truck that will be running nitrous.

As for the turbo when you say " a turbo " I assume you mean a single. Figure out what the limits are on your turbo and gate it before that limit. See what it will spin on your peak nitrous hit.
