Where do I post generic technical questions

Let's say I have some generic technical question about turbochargers, engine compression versus timing, combustion chamber design, air filters, oil, or balancing a driveshaft. Something that doesn't really apply to any brand, or to any application. Where do I post it?

Where do I ask what happens when turbo blades break the sound barrier?

Alright, I thought that forum was more of a "not pick-up truck" forum.
