Will a 16" aluminum or steel wheel fit over the brakes on a 2006 f250 4x4? I am wanting to use some drag radials or slicks and there is a better selection with 16"

If you remove or do a good amount of grinding on the caliper.....YES.

Otherwise...no :D

FWIW, not all aftermarket 17s clear the calipers on the 05-08 trucks.

Dude I am in the same position!!!!!!!!

I have been looking everywhere for drag radials or slicks anything with way better traction!!!:bang :bang :bang

All I have been able to find is the same answer "grind the calipers"
My question is how much to grind the caliper?????

ALOT !!
Probably about 3/8" at least.

$.02

How much you'd grind would depend on what wheel you go with.

For example, some aftermarket 17s fit and some require some grinding to clear.

You'd need a good sized spacer to clear the calipers though....

The rear axle could easily be swapped with a 99-04 axle to get 16s to fit.......the front, well that's a different story with the different suspension and steering. You can do a full coversion over to the 99-04 steering and suspension on a 4x4 with the axle to get the smaller rotors.
