Hey guys- We just wanted to let the word out that Wide Open Performance and Fleece Performance Engineering are joining forces to create a new Duramax Diesel powered dragster for competition in the upcoming season. Thanks to the help from some very prominent aftermarket companies we hope to build a very competitive entry for the Top Diesel Dragster class to compete across the country and help spread the word of Diesel Motorsports place in racing.

With Fleeces strong knowledge of the Duramax power plant and our previous experiences with our 8-second Power Stroke powered dragster we hope to make for a deadly combination that can help continuing to grow our sport and industry.

Stay tuned for complete updates of the build as we move forward...

How soon till the days of billet 600ci blocks with 5k plus ftlbs and 3-4 k hp. Interesting..

When you guys take it out to RMR for testing or whatever, let me know if you need a hand with anything.

Awesome! whatever happened with the WOP dragster? Am I thinking of the right one where your daughter was/did pilot it??

Must be thinking of someone else...we made some decent passes with this dragster with the 7.3L motor over the last year or so, best was an 8.51@166, but after three seasons of pretty serious abuse, the motor finally let loose. Decided with the new Lightning Pro-Street up and running, we didn't need to be focusing both race projects to the Power Stroke power plant. Was time to step up and start doing more with the Duramax market...

They have seen the LIGHT.
Sorry had to. Most of us got are start on the old 7.3 it was and is a great power plant. Zane has done wonders with it "some only try" But zane is the GOD on the powerstroke

So what's the target ET/MPH for this beast gonna be? #2 only or spraying it line to line?!?! :D

Just wanna be fast, that's all. Best it ran with the 7.3 was 8.51@166, so obviously we want to be quicker than that.

And we're sponsored by NOS, need I say more? :evil

Sounds like a good match. Good luck guys, with the WOT guys behind it I know it'll be sweeeeet.

Its nice to see another DMax rail car come alive. It sure would be sick to see two diesel rails go head to head some time! Good Luck Guys!!!

Your Thinking of the David Lott (DI Performance) and the Greg Houge combination.

It will be a LBZ platform. Carillo rods, forged Mahle pistons, NOS Nitrous Launcher injection, FPE Cam, FPE heads, A1 Technologies H11 head studs (which we will soon be offering to the DMax market), DeStroked motor plate to adapt the Duramax engine to the BTS 4R100 transmission, etc...

Complete motor will be built here in-house here at WOP by Zane, he will also be driving as always.
