Wrinkle side walls

We have never run them, but I know I have seen them on competitor trucks on all four corners. Hopefully someone that has real experience will chime in.

I run them on the front of my turbo import, granted my car is lighter, it dead hooks and never didn't go straight. Just have to be careful on the uturn onto the return road. A couple more psi and tubes will definitely help stability

That is what I am running on my truck and is what a lot of the Pro Street trucks are running. I usually run about 30 psi in the front. It made me a little nervous running them at first but they seem to hook good and are pretty stable for as soft as they are.

The biggest problem I see with those is they are only 29.5 inches.. pretty much have to have the 3.42 gears to even have a chance with them

No you have to go to a 16, which requires some minor modification to the calipers (or at least none that I am aware of)

It went 174mph on the dyno on my 31's so I'm not worried about shorter tires. It'll probably help on my truck.

What rims are you guys running for the 17x12's? Custom wheels or???? I won't run a steel wheel but I'm having a hard time justifying the $2000 for Bogart 17x12's.

Oh to have the ppump rpm.

ION used to make a 17X12 (which is what we run), they only make a 17X10 now.

Or maybe I spoke too soon... 17x12 Chrome Wheel Forged Ion Terminator 8x6.5 - Rims - Terminator - Chrome - 8x6.5 - - 12 - 130.80 - -51

To be honest, if it didn't mean changing out the brakes and the messing around that would take, I would rather run a set of 16's and the cheater slicks, as the wheels are cheaper and the tires are cheaper, and there is better selection.

As was said a number of the PS teams run them, and I know of at least two SS teams that run the cheater slicks as well.

You dont have to change out the brakes to run 16" . A very small amount of grinding, lots and lots of guys have done it. That is how I am going to run mine, till I get the cash to run different rear ends.

Any more info on this? Aluminium 16"s?
