rebuilding my motor as we speak. should i replace the wrist pin bushings in the connecting rods??

i'm rebuilding mine to ,,, i changed mine just because i was changing everything else ... they are cheap... i sent my pistons and rods with new bearings to machine shop and said just take care of them ... they fly cut the pistons, installed new bushings in the rods ,polished the crank ,poished the rods , shot peen them , and balacened everything for 350.00

if it that cheap i might as well do it. i was thinkin it would be a lot more! what exacully does polishing the rods and crank do?? and shot peening??

Shot peening and polishing the rods will improve their strength but I don't think it is needed if you are under 800hp or so.

I would go ahead and replace them, I gotta give Jeff (Snedge) a call to order some for mine actually.
