I am returning my truck to stock to trade it in and need a stock turbo. I have a few manifolds i just need a turbo.

A word from someone who knows.

Watch out when buying these turbos, as they have a propensity of having the turbine wheels chewed up by either dropped valve seats, or disintegrated piston rings.

I've bought several "nice ones" from junkyards lately that turned out to be needing turbine shafts, so beware of any that come off engines that have had issues.
The best thing to do is to split the turbine housing from the cartridge and LOOK at the turbine wheel.
This also pertains to the '98.5 through '02 HX35s, the HY35s and ('03- early '04) HE341s on ALL 24 valve (and CR) era engines.
