03 ford cc 6.0 conversion, CALIFORNIA?

Ok guys, its offical, I am not gonna do a 6.0. For the same cost i can do a destroke on my 03 cc ford. Here is my questions, with California going to smog inspection Jan 2010, do you think i will have any problems? I will be installing a 06 cummins common rail....Stock...well maybe not that stock but a single charger and single cp3...it will look stock...LOL

I am thinking it will be ok as long as i stay with the same year or newer. Do you think i will need to go to a REF.....What have you guys heard about the swaps and how will it impact us......

You will need to pass California 06 emissions, not 03. Must have come out of a over the road engine (non industrial). I had a friend that called about this 4 or 5 years ago and they told him any over the road diesel. But with the emissions changes, I believe it is same year or newer now.

I believe they are starting to actually smog diesels or will be smog checking diesel in the upcoming months.
