I have an 03 that I am working on. The guy just replaced lift pump,CP3 with industrial injection 85% pump and replaced rail pressure sensor. The problem the truck has is when you start it the rail pressure is pretty high(always varys) and it is hard starting when hot. I hooked up my scan tool and I got the 251 code out of it. The weird thing is when I went to check data it doesn't show up and it always did before. I'm thinking its either injectors or ECM but I would like to know anyone elses opinion.
 
My guess would be injectors. I had an 03 do the same thing to me would start fine cold, but as soon as it warmed up we would shut it off and it wouldn't start back up. We hooked up a modis scan tool and looked at desired rail pressure versus actual and it was way low even with the FCA unhooked (which sends the pump to max pressure). Another thing that comes to mind is cross over tube make sure they are torqued to spec I believe it's 33 ft lbs not 100% on that spec though.
