03 tranny questions

Hey guys I just purchased a 03 ccsb 4x4 with a 6in lift and 33's. my mods include cai, exhaust and just a ppe tow tune. the truck has 220 on the clock and i wanna start hauling my 98 to the truck pulls. I've changed all fluids to full synthetic but i want to know if i should upgrade my tranny seeming i'm only ever gonna run the tow tune and i'll only haul my puller roughly 6 times a summer? thanks for the help in advance

Throw a VB in there for now atleast. Thats what I would do.

A good valve body upgrade will help a LOT

If you throw on an upgraded VB don't you normally need an aftermarket TC too?

ok sweet thanks guys thats what i was thinking. would a simple bd valve body do the trick? this truck is never gonna be a huge hp truck i just need it to be reliable and tow the trailer once in awhile.
