04.5 motor is gone.

A buddy drop off his 04.5 3500 and said oil is coming out of the turbo. So i pulled off the i/c hose and they are full of oil. after i cleaned out the turbo with some brake clean there is no more oil coming out of it. It does have a lot of blow by pushing up out of the oil filler neck. I think the oil in the turbo is coming from the crossover lines from the valve covers to the intake. Does this sound right? It also has a lumpy idle and is in time with the puff that is coming out of the filler neck. it had a code for cyl 2 miss fire, cyl 2 heater. and cyl 3 heater. I think it has a bad #2 cyl. does this sound to be ture? from the front what cyl is #2 on a duramax.

I would bet you have a busted piston. Check the balance rates on the cyl. #2 will be high. Pull out the glow plug and see if it has oil on it. Sorry Jeff

dmax number is oposite of SBC/BBS #1 pass front #2 is drive front

cam spin the opisite direction the crank does
