04.5

04 has two injection events and the 04.5 has three injection events little different in hp department in stock form. I personally like the 03-04 with less injectin events and they dont tend to melt pistons out as easy and 04.5 and up. The 04 is 305hp and 04.5 is 325hp. Where are you located in sturgis and your name might know ya im from marion.
 
The cause of them melting pistons is cause the 3rd injection event and because of the differnt piston crown design and the injection spray angle, they allow more timing but do run hotter
 
04.5 has larger turbo, better flowing head, different injector spray pattern, different pistons, different tuning, larger memory capacity in ecm.
