Had some engine issues that forced me to take it out. Then i decided that "since it was out anyways" that i might do a few upgrades. So I asked the guys at Smith Diesel here in Cedar city Utah if there was some "since it was out ayways" upgrades I should do. Well " since it is out anyways" we should do this, this and this. And I said ok! So here is what "this, this and this" is:
First we took the block, crank, rods and cylinder head up to Randy's Machine Shop in Richfield Utah where he balanced rotating assembly, polished the crank, shot peened and polished the rods, coated and flycut new pistons at 16:1 compression, torqued deckplate for cylinder honing, torqued the mains for linebore honing, and drilled and tapped for 14mm head and main studs.
