Excuse grammer new computer, working on getting a spell check. Ok everything in my sig. What should i step up on and how big. Injectors what size, turbos, nos how much dont want big shot, water meth. I know its simple if you break it down, lots of air and fuel. I would like to get just the right amout of both and keep down on smoke. To handle the power it will be getting a fully built bts trans, lockers front and rear, stronger drive shafts, and track bars. Also the head will be getting machined, what all needs done? Im getting stock 12v rods polised and pistons heat treated. Then get roating assembly blue printed and balanced. Tear me apart guys and tell me what i need but im looking for a good parts list to start ordering.

You're looking to do twins? Have you thought about triples?

Ive read a few of the tipples threads and it hurt my head. Im not shore there will be enough room to. This is the deal a guy is buying my truck off me for 18k but he wants 1000hp dd. He is paying for all parts and labor.

Not saying it can't be done but I know a few guys that have been chasing that magical number for years, swapping parts and tuning. They're getting close but still not there.

I don't think you'll be within your budget if you get there. $.02

Does 800hp sound more reasonable with a shot of nos on reserve to hit that 1000hp on the dyno or the drag strip. How much nos? I will buy all the proper parts so it will handle it and last. The nos will not be used all the time.

if you have to ask your not ready.... lol sounds like this deal could go sour pretty fast.

No not realy. He is buying truck first and leaving truck at my shop till done. I told him im going to do alot of research before even thinking about starting. Hence the reason for the thread. O and *nx*

Very easy to do with a 12V. Have Kevin at North East build you a 13mm pump(around 3200 dollars), a good set of injectors (1000), a 75mm single(1000), o-rings and head studs(1500) , and a nitrous kit(under 1000). Fuel only with twins will take another 3500.

You dont think my 12mm pump is enough. It was benched for 700cc. I have heads studs and will be getting o-rings. So are you saying fuel only with twins is possilbe to reach 1000hp with a little help from nos? Could you give a few more details please? Anything else i should get to, i want more reliablitly then anything. So internaly what all should be done?

ron has the right idea, if you left your preasant twins and added 2 big gates to the manifold that would work also..

This will be my first big build and i will be looking for all the help i can get. My buddy works for cummins as a day job and puts together motors all the time and he will be helping me. Were kind of familar with the performance side but have not got to advanced into it. So excuse me if i sound a little dumb, just trying to get all the insite i can. No i dont want to take it to a shop! I have a good idea what im doing. Back to what you said when you say 2 large gates in the manifold what do you mean? Obviously you gate the big and little turbo, what would gating the manifold do? Im sorry im a little enexperianced in the advanced side of performance. Yet again sorry for spelling.

If you want a reliable 1000hp and plan on using it alot I would recommend a CAT scan.

Sorry sir, wasnt trying to sound stupid here. So far im thinking 800hp on fuel and a shot of nos to hit that 1000hp a couple times on dyno or track. Try and make it as realiable as all possible. I know 1000hp is alot and stuff can and will brake.

LOL Ron...
well plan on building it for the 7-800 on the motor and using nitrous for the rest.. basically if you put two external gates on the both sides of the manifold you can vent all the extra drive/back pressure when you hit the button..
remember back in the day Chris W was making mid 700's on the motor and was over 12,13, and even 1400hp with nitrous..
so, my list is almost exactly my motor with some external gates on the ex manifold venting to atmosphere and some nitrous would get you there easy.. i have plenty of extra fuel for nitrous if it was a dyno queen..
kevins 12mm pump = depending on what you start with for pump and parts, he can get you 600+cc's easy
i have ddp4's or 5x.014 injectors
cummins block stiffener
non ic pistons and arp rod bolts
o-ringed head and 625s
cam of choice
in my combo and fairly moderate tune(181's and 26* timing) it made 760 the other day..

From that list right there, im almost thinking i can do it with my set up with a few exceptions. The non ic pistons, arp rod bolds, o rings,a shot of nitrous, and gates. My sig has all that i have right know except the nos at the moment. How much nos? what jet to use? Do you think a girdle is necessary?

how much power does it make now? how much extra fuel do you have? that is what helps you decide how much nitrous it will take.. i wouldnt try it untill you have some external gating in place..
put your timing at about 20, start with one large stage and about a 120 jet at about 25psi boost and 2200rpm, have the second larger stage hit at about 50psi and 2500 and if your fuel only is north of 650 that should get you real close.. if not just step up your injector size according..
when is the girdle needed? depends on how long you want it to last.. you cant over build.. these things are cheap insurance.. also depends on how many times you want to redo things..

Timing is already at 21 or 22 i forget. Pumped was benched and flowed at wimers injection "700cc". Only thing wrong in my sig is i have 5x.016 currently. Would you do anything to my turbo set up, such as batmowheels? I want it to last so i will get the girdle. The truck has yet to be on the dyno, so i have no idea what kind of numbers its at right know.
Thanks you have been alot of help.
