12V and Allison 1000?

wondering if the allison 1000 can bolt up to my 96 12V?

might be a dumb question, but w/e idk so thought i'd ask.

you mean 06 right? I didn't think they made the 6 speed in 05. Unless you bought the suncoast valvebody that converts it.

jacket- ya stock 5 sp, but was gunna go with the suncoat kit to make it a 6sp, help me wiht my mpg's. but the guy hasnt got back to me on the tranny so im assumin its sold. prob ok for now the alli was pretty spendy and then to get it built and buy the adapter plates and harnesses it was gunna cost me.

i have done about 5 allison swaps. They are way stronger than a dodge auto. You can't do a 6speed conversion for the dodge. The 6 speed is for the duramax only. We don't have the programming done for the 6 speed. If you are going to buy one, get a 01-05 1000 series tranny. There are also numerous adapter options out there but they all end up costing about the same.
