12v grid heater delete via gutting

Im not ready for nos yet. I would like to try it one time to see how it works though. I wanted the three ports for a boost refrence when i set up a waste gate, a boost gauge and a possible third water nozzle as my schied deck plate has two in it . One between 5 and 6 pistons and one between 1 and two pistons where water is needed the most and if i want more i can throw one in that thrid port for a little more.

i hear ya...

its not like you could ever have too many holes around

or was that hoe's?

lol

make it a great night!

The hole in the intake plate is in a different location from a 12V to a 24V.

I believe the intake would interfer with the injection lines, but not positive.

That reminds me, I need to make a 12V intake plate without the heater block for a buddy of mine. Anyone know how thick the stock piece is?

The earlier 12v's don't have a one piece intake plate like the later 12v's. My '94 engine has a seperate heater block from the intake cover.

Any reports of improvement?

I fabricated a complete intake horn (sans grid spacer) from 3" mandrel bends and SEEMINGLY noticed a 1-2psi gain in manifold referenced boost level @ 55-65mph under "cruising" conditions. Anyone care to bunk/back-up my statement?

Your infinite knowledge fails you again.

well wes, again you are quick to say someone is wrong but slow to give correct answer

was a wild guess - '95

if the '94 model is two pc and the '95 is one it would stand to reason that they switched for '95

when did they really switch?

I didn't notice much difference but my egt gauge has been bobbing around alot lately. Think the terminals are a little loose and need to tighten them up.

hurley, its not pretend. its real. just going from the stock elbow to a 3" tube i had to adj the afc accordingly (loosen it up) to make up for more air

that was when the truck had ddp 3's @ 17° and a stock turbo

dont know if losin the heater did anything but losin the relays for it made a spot for my regulator so it was worth it for me
