will the motor mounts from the old CR work with the 12v

No, the engine mount bolt bosses on the 12v are further forward than the STORM/CR blocks. Two of the bolts will line up.

They will work, search "12-rail"

On edit: all you need is a 1/4 inch thick, 10" long piece of flat steel for both sides and wide enough for the bolt spacing (forgot exact measurement), transfer all the bolt measurements to the plate and drill holes, thread the back two bolt holes. Easy as pie.

When you do that you need to remove aprox. Half an inch from the frame bolt slot on the driver or passenger side. Because now the motor mounts are a tad wider than they were when they were bolted to the CR block.

What Forrest said. Find my thread called 12-rail. It's has lots of information on this exact swap. The pin outs are different on the ECM though.
