From what I understand, is that these blocks seem to crack pretty much the same, way, in about the same spot(passenger side, right below the head). And the fix that was mentioned, seems to work on most. But, between the crack, and 2 bad pumps..... I would think, if you were going to fill, or partially fill the block(pulling?, or drag racing?), it would be just fine.
