When I first put on all my go-fast parts I could hit 65psi and bury the pyrometer in fourth and fifth.
I recently noticed that it will do 50 in 3rd 45 in 4th and 40 in 5th

I do not drive my pickup like I stole it that often so this fuel issue may have been slow progessing over time not sure.

I replaced the overflow valve it had been awhile. No change idle smoke cleaned up some.

I replaced the mech. lift pump on it. Fuels hard now down low almost to the top of third gear but dies out in fourth and fifth with boost readings at 50 3rd then 45 in 4th and 45 in 5th so it help some. The pyrometer never got above 1200.

Idles and runs smooth. New fuel filter in it, Fuel hoses by the firewall are new. It has done this on multiple tanks of fuel.

Ideas?

Have not gotten the fuel pressure tested but thats comin soon just wondering if someone had any ideas.

New lift pump and I cleaned out the prefilter screen when I replaced the lift pump

My 24V was doing the same thing. Two years ago would hit 65+psi, and now lopes along at 52-55psi and won't go any more.

I've just lived with it. Runs good, just less boost, and everything checks out. I'm only 12HP down, so, I'm not sure what to think. Maybe your boost line has a leak? That is if the power is still there...

Check boost leaks, get injectors tested, make sure there's no air in lines anymore, and that's all I can think of.

I can tell by the seat of the pants so I don't think boost line is leaking.

Totally missed the pyro not going over 1.2k. My bad.

Make sure the shut down solenoid is pulling all the way up and you are still getting full throttle at the pump.

How would I know if there was air in the lines?

My injectors have 60,000 on them I looked at them when I did my head gasket at 220,000 I have 240,000 but that is when I noticed the lack of power once I got the headgasket torqued down I went out for a few power runs. It may have started before then though not sure I was milking I cylinder to coolant passage high boost only leak (meaning it only leak when I got on it hard with hi boost) so there was maybe 10,000 miles of soot build up on the injectors boost never got above 10 psi while I was milking the headgasket.

How can I clean the injectors myself could I soak the tips of them in a acid of somethin?

maybe check the boost reference line to the afc? just a thought..

I do have a homemade valet valve in there but all the connections seemed nice and tight. I could take it out and see but seems to me with the volume of air and psi it would overcome that.

whens the last time you checked your air filter? and def. check the shut-off sol. cuz on mine it backed off more than half an in. to the off position.
just a thought

Just cleaned air filter and if it was air filter I would have hi egt's due to lack of air.

I am goin to check the fuel shut off solenoid for sure because that is one thing that make cents to me. if that does not work then I get the fuel pressure tested.

I'll check my boots anyways but I would have higher egts with leaking boots thats why this is a weird one
