I am rebuilding a 12V for my dump truck Dodge 3500. I use this thing for hauling (obviously) plowing and salting in winter. Most of the places I have found rebuild kits want to sell me pistons with a bigger bowl in them thus lowering compression. My question is with this truck only used for working and working in cold temps is the bigger bowl piston going to make it haze more at idle or doesn't it seem to make a difference? Thanks for your time.

A bigger diameter bowl does not always mean that compression will be lower.
