Ok, so I finally got back to the track after years with my 89...and had an OK day! Not great, but OK. It was hot hot hot out, (about 100) so my bottle pressure was all the way up to 1100! I need a .032 jet to spool for some reason (still haven't figured out why) and when I tapped it a line burst! So the first few runs were kind of trouble shooting. I gotta say, having to shift through all 4 gears and hit lockup all manually by the 1/8 isn't easy, I'd say the truck is harder to drive than my 8 second Nova! Anyways the rear brakes weren't holding great at the line, so I left at about 10psi and cut a 2.0 60ft spinning a little. 1.80s would have helped a lot and got me that 12 I was looking for. Anyways, next trip I'll have 'er wicked up on the big stage (.136 jet *nx*) so I'm hoping to skip the 12s and go straight to the 11s. Oddly enough, the truck ran the exact same time and mph as my stock '04 Mercedes S55 AMG. I'm also a member of the "I don't know what my EGT is," because it was at the end of the 1600 degree gauge. It was 1,100 by the return road so I feel like it wasn't that bad. All in all a fun night that was something other than sitting on the couch!
