Looking for input from the guys with experience. What will it take for me to get into the 13's in the quarter? My goal is a 12 sec. daily driver, but just starting to wonder how difficult it may be.

definate upgrades coming are- tranny, caltracs, slicks, turbo & injectors, more aggressive box

Fass 150
Wire tap box (Edge comp or Quad adrenaline)
100 or 150HP injectors
Turbo uprgrade (Biggest you can run and still be streetable)
Tranny. Billet shafts for the boost launches.
 
150-200hp injectors
64mm turbo or twins (I don't like 66's on auto 2nd gens but that's just me)
Billet Tranny (DTT, HTS, Suncoast, Goerend)
FASS 150
Quad Adrenaline

That should get you there. I prefer the twins over a big single if your gonna daily drive it because they'll spool quicker and run cooler than a big single. But that's personal preference. If that list doesn't get you enough then go bigger injectors and add nitrous.
 
I ran 13.9 @ 97 last season in 2wd unlocked with 100hp injectors ,smarty/tst comp and HTBG turbo. EGTs were outta hand but a good DD with the TST off.
Now feels like ALOT more power with the Quad , twins and a LSD leaving the line @10psi should be low 13s. will know for sure Fri. truck weighs 6900lbs and runs on street tires, 3:54 gears.$.02
 
Ah. When you said in 2wd unlocked I assumed 2wd. I need another beer. LOL
 
my truck feels like such a dog, with my old drag comp, airdog, and intake...i ran a 17.9...i was gettin whooped by the powerjokes....grrr i wont race again until iam sure, hopefully my 100hp injectors and the the adren will get me down into the 15's????...not tryin to hijack
 
bbtank- are you leaving in 2-3rd? and skipping gears? with 4:10s rowing through 5 gears should take 17secs!
 
my old 99 dually 5 speed went 15.4's @94mph. had an edge comp (not the drag) 150 nozzles..intake..exhaust...banks hi-ram...launched in 2nd and never skipped gears. stock 3:54 ratio
 
hmmm....i wonder if id be topped out by then, never gotten that fast in this truck lol
 
200hp injectors
66/14 turbo
billet trans
timing/fueling box

that should put you into the high 12's :tree:

Since you have the juice. I would get 200hp injectors, a large single and of course slicks.

I'm able to run 12.5's on with a 64/71/14. You might even consider running a larger 16cm housing to reduce some of the torque of the hole to aid traction and pick up the topend.
