am stuck between the idea of 150s w/ a HTT62/71/13or14 and HTT64/71/14.

Are both about the same as far as every day drivability goes?? Towing?? Fuel milage??

Really want to make the right decision the first time....

200's with a 62 get hot and are smokey. 200's with a 66 are very nice. I'd imagine 200's with a 64 wouldn't be to bad at all.

I meant to put in the orginal post "150s w/ a HTT62/71/13or14 and HTT64/71/14 w/ 200s"

i ran 250's with 66/71/14, a small set of twins, s400 and an s300g (57)

just turn the box down if its too much fuel.

the 57 with edge all the way up hauled ass, and still only peaked out around 1700*

well, i would like to get to 500hp and i just think that the Mach 4s and 62/71 wouldnt get me there because of my HO pump. Thats why i am pondering 200s

Definitely do the big injectors. I remember reading a long time ago that HO's respond better to injectors than SO's do due to the higher pressure that they run. Dunno if that's true or not.

I always thought it was the other way around, that HOs didn't respond to injectors bigger then about 150 as well as SOs. Isn't that why most big HP guys swap the HO pump for a SO pump or one of the aftermarket ones?

To the original poster, I run Mach 4s and my HP numbers are in my sig.

HO's respond better to injectors than they do to timing and fueling boxes. From a stock starting point.

But that's only up to a lil over 500hp then the HO pump hits a wall and can't supply as much fuel as the SO pump. But I'm not sure if an HO pump can supply enough fuel for 200hp sticks or not...

what horsepower would yall put me at then if i went with mach 4 150s and a HTT 62/71?? I would probably be right at 500 or a little over with an SO but idk where I would be at with an HO

are both of those dyno numbers with the Mach 4's?? also what turbo do you run with them??

m reynolds give Smokem a PM and talk to him about some injectors and a turbo.

No the 536 was with the Mach 4s, the other numbers were with old 100HP Scheid injectors. Believe it or not the 536 was done with a HX-40.

I say so 200's, cause if not you'll regret it later. That's what I did, then I even went bigger than 200's. I think it is symptons of the diesel power bug. LOL

mach 5's or 6's run just fine with a 62 and don't get hot and smokey.

You're in the same boat as me. I decided to go with the 5s and a 62/71/14 and don't regret it at all. I haven't been on a dyno yet but I think i'm probably in the neighborhood of 500ish. On SO trucks this combo would probably run too hot but it stays nice and cool on my truck. Hottest egt i've seen is 1500 deg. with boost @ 48psi., and I have to stay in it awhile to get it that warm.

As a reference, on my brother's HO he has Mach 4s and a 62/65/12 and made 486 hp.

my mach 4's and 62/65/14 HO made a hair over 500 and towed about 34k a few times.
