1967 RS Duramax Camaro

Here's the beginning of my stainless gauge panel. When I was done with it, I wasn't happy with it. It was too big and bulky. When sitting in the car my knee would block 1 1/2 gauges, so I eventually cut it in half.

Had a buddy of mine who happens to be a glass guy install my front and rear windshields. Reused the original trim.

Some people don't know it but the quarter glass in most pro street cars doesn't roll up or down because of the wheel tubs. I had to slightly modify the tracks, but they otherwise installed without trouble.

The car is looking awesome!
My method of deleting the fuel test port and keeping the injector return line.

That's funny because I did basically the exact same thing for a buddy who was rerouting the fuel line on his truck.

I bought a B&M Pro Ratchet a couple months ago. I had to make some kind of switch panel to control lock up, overdrive and the trans brake. My first attempt didn't turn out so well, so this was my second attempt.

Final shot done before I cut down the gauge panel. The red light is for the line lock so I know when the front tires are locked in the burn out box.

Had to modify the upper portion of the battery tray/clamp for the military spec battery cable terminals.

Also bought PPE's digital to analog tach signal converter box a couple months ago. I finished wiring that up this evening.

I decided that since I still had 4 gauges to mount, and not much interior space left without obstructing my view, I made good use of some of the cowl induction portion of my 4" hood.

I got the carpet mostly installed. Had to trim it around the roll cage, but I'm pretty happy with how it fits. Got the shifter and all that wiring buttoned up as well.

Also got the sending unit in the fuel cell wired up to my fuel gauge.

And wired up the Rally Sport reverse lights up to my shifter. This is the first time they've worked properly the whole time I've owned it.

That about sums it up for now. If I have enough extra money next week, I will order the last couple things I need to make it run, so wish me luck.

Its always nice to click on "Today's Posts" and see this thread on the list. Everything looks great! Pretty funny that the car still has its old AM radio.

Thanks bud, I was unsure when I started cutting into it if I was going to ruin it.

Thanks guys. I haven't even considered putting a new stereo in. I like hearing the motor more than the radio :hehe:

I already posted this on Duramaxdiesels, but I need some help guys. After a few weekends of working out some bugs and tying up loose ends, I worked on the Camaro all day today and couldn't get it to fire.

It's getting plenty of fuel. I'm 99% sure that all the air is bled out of the injection lines. After cranking it for 10-15 seconds, I cracked open the lines and a ton of clean fuel came squirting out. I did this 3 times. All of the lines are now tight, no leaks anywhere.

I sprayed a tiny bit of starting fluid (yes, I know it's a bit of a no no...) and it immediately ran, for 1 second.

I checked all my electrical connections, and all appeared to be good. Everything was plugged in, grounds were good, etc.

As of right now, I do not have the intake or intercooler plumbing fab'd up, so the maf and map sensors are out in the open air. This is leading me to think that they are not getting an accurate reading, therefore the pcm (ecu, or whatever you like to call it) isn't telling the injectors how much fuel to inject.

I tried scanning the codes with my PPE programmer. All it said was: C101, 0000, and 0600. I looked at PPE's website and it didn't tell me a whole lot about those, especially C101. I will have to hook up our snap on scanner that belongs to the shop and see what it says when I get a chance.

I'm at a bit of a loss, so I need some more experienced help.
