1997 F350 CCLB 4x4 Cummins ZF5

Looks good!! Few questions, do you know if the 2nd gen dodge intercooler will work with the 97' F350 diesel radiator? How would you rate the reverse shakle kit from Sky?(like ride improvement over stock) Did you use the super duty spring RSK kit or just the factory springs? Thanks!

2 Micron,
Yes the dodge intercooler will fit with the diesel radiator. I believe the super duty 7.3 intercooler will fit as well. The ride improvement is definitely better, but it still rides like a leaf sprung one ton if you know what I mean. I did not do the super duty springs though. I put super duty springs in my 73 ford crew cab with a cummins and it road really nice.

Cool thanks! I have both intercoolers and also a common rail but havent had time to see what fits best. Was that your choice over the 7.3 piece or what you had available?

I had both available, but the 7.3 intercooler does not fit around the 460 radiator, contrary to what Diesel Conversion Specialists will tell you. Since my truck had a brand new 460 radiator I did not want to buy another new radiator since I had an intercooler that would fit

Will the stock 97' driveline flanges mate with NP271/273? Thanks again

Now that I am unsure of. I have used the factory zf5 and transfer case on the OBS conversions i have done and therefore used the stock drivelines, just changed the lengths due to having to move the tranny and t-case back about 2.5"

Hi I have ran a 6.0 litre powerstroke intercooler on my 1997 powerstroke truck fits perfect with the diesel radiator

I know I'm a couple (5) mounths late but I had really good luck with a set of toyo m/t's. I bought a 97 f250 psd with a set 315/75r16 E load range Toyos that were at about 90% put 30k on the truck and the tires still had 40% on them. I never aligned it or anything and it had a 4" lift for the ttb.. So the next set of tires I'm buying will be Toyos.

Now that your driving it with the tach working where are your RPMs? And did you get the clutch working right?

Just for what it's worth, a CR intercooler will fit around a 460 radiator as well. I have one in my 95 F-350.

Thank you Truck Guy99.

And thank you for adding that Dieselwrencher, good info to know

I haven't updated this thread in a while, mostly because I have just been driving the truck and not really doing anything to it, but it is time for some upgrades. I have been on an LED kick lately and put all LED's in my dash and a couple 7" bars in the bumpers:

I have also decided to upgrade my steering. I've ordered Ruffstuff Specialties Y-Link kit which will have GM 1-ton TRE's and DOM links. I'm also installing their special bushing in the draglink to tie rod TRE that will prevent the dead spot in the steering that all these trucks have. I'll update with pics and post results once I get it installed.

I'm also planning a twin turbo setup and just shopping for the turbo now. Hopefully this will be happening soon :)

Those LED's look great in there. I just sold my 95 last week. Now I have to finish an old chevy to take it's place. :)

Thanks man. Thas awesome, your chevy is way cool. Best body style pickup ever made, in my opinion. How is the excursion doing?

I got the Ruffstuff Specialties Y-Link installed and works great! Way more beefy than the stock stuff, cheaper, and tighter steering. I highly recommend doing this to anyone that has one of these pickups.

Of course! Taunting me with more 500$+ upgrades! I hope to start my thread soon titled FC350 (Ford Cummins 350). Thanks for all your info and pics!

Ya man, let's see what you have going on. I know what you mean, there are so many things I want to do to it, but it just takes time and money. Both of which I'm very short on right now, haha.

Not enoughsmoke,
Search "LED 194" on Amazon and you can buy ten packs for like 6$. I recommend getting at least two ten packs to complete the gauge cluster, heater controls, and door lights. Very simple to do, just remove old bulbs and install the new LEDs

Thank you DirtyDieselDawg!

I just got a good ht3b 23cm exhaust housing turbo for my twins kit! I'm super excited to get this going but I have to wait until after spring break to get started on it. Does anyone have advice on mounting the ht3b, especially in an OBS Ford, as far as bracing the turbo to the motor? Here's a pic of the new turbo, I got it from another good guy on here (forgot his username):
