umm.... look into some water injection and a clutch and a trans and an input shaft and driveshafts and rears and gears and intercoolers and turbos and headgaskets and pistons and injectors and money and oh, yeah money, etc, etc... LOL :hehe: LOL

there's no such thing as a one time puller.. if you want to pull and you want to win, your stock drivetrain will not hold up (mainly your clutch)... and the non-intercooled factor is a problem too. That's why i said look into some water injection.. Your pistons will not like being that hot.. other than that the dana 60/ 70 should be fine. So if you want to just mess around at fairs and stuff and pull in the stock class, you should be ok.. Just keep an eye on your pyro!!

well i need to up grade the stock clutch but the P/O put a brand new one 3000mi before i bought it i would like to get a H/P one for the dragging
this truck is built around dragging and once a year we have sled pulls so i was gonna swap the slicks with some tractor tires and have at it :bang

I wouldn't risk eating that dana 70. I would swap it out for a 80. Being a once a year puller, I would go with a SBC 3600 Dual Disk clutch, water injection is always a plus. I would even ditch the VE pump and go with a modded p-pump. That would also help you out on the drag strip aswell. Find a decent turbo or twins setup aswell. Some traction bars and suspension stops will be a great help aswell.

well i dont know the 1st thing bout pulling??????
where could i find some rules & regs??
dont wanna do the 80 = to heavy for strip
p-pump no way iam letting the world know that 500 - 700 hp is possible with the ve after that then 1000+ HP with the P:nos:
clutch = when this one goes
W/M = if i can find a sponsor that deals in that area
Turbo = working on twins haven't figured out what s300 and s510?:rockwoot:
and what i dont get sponsored cost me alot$.02$.02$.02$.02$.02

if its a stock clutch id make sure to ease into it before you really get down on it. i wouldnt pull too much with it

Asuming he is serious:

dont wanna do the 80 = to heavy for strip If you really intend to make the power your saying, D80 would be a wise investment.

p-pump no way iam letting the world know that 500 - 700 hp is possible with the ve after that then 1000+ HP with the P we already know

clutch = when this one goes Stock clutch may make 1 hook.

W/M = if i can find a sponsor that deals in that areayou can make a damn good kit for a few hundred.

Turbo = working on twins haven't figured out what s300 and s510?I would be trying to get rid of that massive restricton of a 1st gen head.
and what i dont get sponsored cost me alot

Hopefully I didnt come off as too big an ass.

Throw some weight in it and give it hell.

Theres no way you're doing 350hp with just the fuel screw turned and a fuel pin. You don't have enough power to break or melt anything so f*ck all that big money stuff (D80, I/C, head work) and just pull it. Spend $20 and get a 366 spring.

i got a lot more than that.......

pump tuned and maxed by shop
i can turn 4200 rpm
4in intake
3in crossover tube
electric fans
ported head
denny t pin
ported exaust man
a/c delete
oil coolers
4in exaust (down-pipe) 5 after
built getrag
line lock
locked rear-end
quick loc shifter for getrag
custom performance drive-line
performance u-joints
u-joint shields
drive-line hoops

on the way
water to air I/C
alum radiator
nos
W/M
propane

and what ever else i think would be cool and that is sponsored to me
