Ok yall i have a 2.6 charger dodge that i am throwing together. It has a fully build suncoast in it and a 60 mm turbo. What is the best mods for this truck its a 2001 vp44 with a hot rod vp44 pump on it. Can anyone give me a killer combo to make this thing drag its heart out

What are the specs on the charger? do you have a fuel box? how about injectors?

How drivable do you want it?

I'd say you can call Scheids and they will fit you up with injectors. Otherwise you can throw some DDP 4's in. Dont think you can go wrong with them. Never ran them but never heard anyone complain bout them either! Oh and you need an AirDog also!!

Tim this truck does not get driven on the road at all. It gets fired up put on the gooseneck taken to event when it gets done it gets parked until next event. It does not have to be street able.

The combo he has on the truck is ****ty. So instead of singleing stuff out to try to find it. We are taking everything off and starting a new combo on this truck. I do beilve he atleast has a red line box. Will it need springs or anything to rev a high rpm??

Springs are a good Idea over 4k

I'm curious... If you already have some hotrod parts, it would make more sense to find out what aspects of the setup are not working and then fix them. Starting all over is a bit much. It is quite possible that an injector swap or a tweak or 2 on the charger could help out lots.

I'm with Tim, seems like it would be easier to figure out the issue with what you have. And the Redline box would be a great choice for you fuel box.

The current combo is a redline box, Edge comp with the drag upgrade, Some 275 or 245 sticks i cant recall which one. And a charger off of a bus.

Here is what i think the problem is. For one he should take the bottle off i dont beilve a 2.6 charger truck needs a bottle when all the other 2.6 truck are beating him fuel only. I think the edge comp need to come off and he needs to either stack a smarty or super chip with the redline box ( But i am not sure about that ) I think he needs to junk the turbo and get one from turbonetics so we no what the turbo is rated at and how much air it can flow

That is just what i think. With that list hopefully someone can tell me where the truck is wrong so we can correct it.

You do not have enough injector and a junk charger. Yank the redline until you actually need it, and go from there.

Go look at the link I posted....you will find some of the hottest 24v setups around in there.

Tim thank you for helping Ill take a look at that thread. Do you no at what point we need to put the redline back on??

valve springs
head studs and o-rings would be good insurance
some 200hp sticks (DDP or F1 mach 6's)
a SPS 62
and you can keep the edge and leave the wire untapped so its just an EZ, to go with the redline.

thats gonna be good for 500-575 with 4k rpms and will pull very well

Are u talking about the wire that plugs into the control module in the cab itself?? Does the redline do anything for timing? Or will i need a timing box like the edge??

I happen to know where there is a set of Mach 6's for sale;);)

Chris

BTW, the Comp taps a wire on the injection pump itself...unhook that, and leave the rest of the Comp plugged in for timing control;)

How much are u wanting for them. And what are they rated at.

Im going to speek with the guy today and see just how far he wants to take this truck. From there i will no more.

Why only a 62? Why not a 66 if its a puller? I had the SPS 62 and it was awesome for the street. Useless for pulling i would think. Its basically lit all the time.

For that price. I would go with a brand new set of DDP 4's. Scheids will even cut you a set for cheaper than that to match your set up.
