2.6 rule question

I have a 2.6 question.

In years past, the top 2.6 trucks "qualified" on Friday night to pull on Saturday. That is also what is stated on the TS website. But, I just heard that they are not doing that this year, that Friday and Saturday are separate events, that you don't have to qualify Friday in order to pull Saturday.

Could someone clarify for me which way they're running it this year?
 
It was stated that they are two separate pulls this year. No qualifying.
